Cunjurong Point, Green Island

Our last school holidays were spend on the beautiful South Coast of NSW. Cunjurong Point, a tiny one shop settlement with gorgeous 1950’s fibro holiday shacks galore. The beaches are stunning with queaky white sand and crystal clear, turquoise green water. Only the brave ventured in though, it was a very chilly 16 degrees celsius. Coming from further North in an equally stunning coastal town, I’m used to a more comfortable water temp around 23 degrees celsius.

This painting is for a friend who has holidayed there for most of her life. Can’t say for sure if it is finished. It is still on my easel and I’m still finding things that annoy me or could be done better or differently. Sometimes I think I just keep painting because I love the process of putting paint on canvas. Am I making it better, or just different? Perhaps finished only happens when you give up and move on…
